Afterwards, they come across a young boy and Kor, who is later revealed to be the metal heads leader. They arrive in Haven City and Jak is then arrested and integrated into dark warrior program, where he is experimented upon with Dark Eco for two years until he is freed by Daxter. They were sent through the warp gate, as many metal heads came swarming out, including a large figure. Soon after, Jak, his friend Daxter, Samos, and his daughter Keira activated the Rift Gate found at the end of The Precursor Legacy. There he raised and guarded him until the events of The Precursor Legacy took place. Young Samos then took Jak back in time to Sandover Village in The Old World in the hope of protecting him. Jak was born in Haven City where he lived as a young child until he was taken from his father Damas by Count Veger, only to have him lost to the Underground movement, which was headed by a Young Samos and Torn this led to the events in Jak II. In Jak 3, he came to handle dark eco more effectively, and is also granted light eco as a gift, which acts a counterbalance. However, he still has some good left in him. He grows angry, impatient and reckless due to his desire for revenge from Dark Eco experiments. His personality would take a dramatic turn in Jak II and he would also gain a voice actor. New guns, new vehicle mechanics, and a new ragdoll effect, there are enough new things to keep players interested, but enough of the original game to give a sense of continuity and nostalgia to the past installments.In The Precursor Legacy, Jak is a mute, headstrong, often troublemaking boy. One thing different from the past games is that all vehicles in Jak 3 have to be unlocked, with no ability to jump in the car and drive. While a wasteland is not the most exciting place to have an adventure, and probably results in the characters having a stench, the wasteland featured in Jak 3 makes for an abundantly larger map than in the previous two installments of the series.ĭoing missions to search for the power cells needed to cure Daxter, Jak will find himself running all over the wasteland to run errands for individuals and even fight them. As Jak searches for the cure for Daxter (an ottsel turned human), they find themselves in a tragic turn of events that results with their next adventure (Jak 3) taking place in a wasteland. Gameplayįollowing the same path of play as the previous Jak installments, Jak 3 has the same storyline. One extreme bonus of low graphics in a game and the cartoon feel, is that there are hardly ever any complaints of the game not running smooth, allowing for a non-frustrating and uninterrupted gameplay (judging that your device handles it). To be so cartoonish and “rough” however, Jak 3 makes some things very well-known through this method, having important things stick out from the rest of the world, making easy visual clues for the player to know what they are supposed to do.
